Moving message display
This is a decoder program i developed for the decoding of moving message display board, what i am trying to display on moving message board, i first try to get the code of that string by using this software.
It make the job easy, in the next versionof the sofware i will make it auotmatic update from PC to board.
and images could also be displayed.
sir i wanna develop a web site to send data on a moving message display board via a serial communication but dont knw how to code the device mean Ic e.g PIC , AVR , Atmal etc.. and how to get circuit of this board. can u help me in this.

There are two main parts of your projects:
ReplyDelete1. Development of a moving message display. Means you need a hardware of moving message display using micro-controller. Here you have a large choice to select the micro-controller. You can do the task by using eithor micro-controller from Atmel (At89s51 or At89s52), AVR, or/and PIC (say PIC16f877a). But the important point is how you wish control the LEDs. There are a lot many ways and methodes used for moving message display. The common thing in this regrad is, mostly people prefer to use multiplexing technique for ON/Off of LED. for this serial in parallel out registers are used (say 74ls164, 74ls595). There is slightly difference in 74ls595 and 74ls164, the use of latch the output. So first make the hardware.
2. Programming the moving message display. Use the micro-controller , you have previously used or you are comfortable with that microcontroller. It depends upon your capibilties.
In my view, PIC microcontrollers are easy to handle in these projects, as most of the compiliers have many built in routines for some general purpose functions. Like picbasic and potron basic. etc.
